ㅤABOUTㅤ caleb widogast is one of the many names worn by bren aldric ermendrud — and the one adopted by him when he met and became part of the adventuring group know as the mighty nein. a human wizard proficient with fire, he sought to expand his powers to bend reality to his will (and perhaps fix many of the mistakes done in his past).ㅤPORTRAYALㅤ canon based, but heavily headcanon reliant.

ㅤimportant noteㅤㅤmy portrayal is rooted in canon, although i'm not completely caught up (currently making my way through exu and campaign 3, although i do not mind spoilers). the fun of writing canon characters is to develop them in my own way, so my headcanons and takes about caleb are my own and may not be strictly aligned with canon at all times.

ㅤV.ㅤ on a similar note, there is a reason why caleb struggles with his past and self-worth. he has done terrible things, he was trained to do terrible things, and that doesn't just go away. i don't plan on watering down his issues and flaws. and while i think this should be obvious, what i write as fiction in a fictional setting is not necessarily what i support in real life.
ㅤVI.ㅤ as of now, this blog is multiship. as a note on the topic, caleb developing romantic crushes on people isn't uncommon, though acting on it is a different thing, and his feelings existing does not mean there's any expectation they may be reciprocal. he is difficult and developing a relationship with him is difficult. and! i will only ship something if we actively discuss it out of character.
